About
I'm a 21 year old Los Angeles native still trying to find my way in the world. Thankfully through a lot of reflecting and advice from those I love, i've started to see what was in front me all along: my love for design and technology.
From a young age, I always remember appreciating anything that caught my eye, whether it was some cool looking shoes at the mall or especially YouTube thumbnails. That's what led me to buying Photoshop off Craigslist when I was 13 (thanks dad) so i could learn how to make them for my gaming channel. Fast forward to today and that appreciation developed into a love for not just design, but the process of creating.
After high school, I really struggled with choosing what path to go down. I started with a business major as I had a lot of interest in startups, transitioned to computer science so I could learn how to actually create what I wanted, but nothing was ringing true to me. However, a random conversation with someone at a coffee shop introduced me to the field of product design and flipped my life around. It felt like the Da Vinci Code was finally cracked. It was a combination of all the things I loved, and I already had a great foundation to build my skills off of.
After that fateful conversation at the coffee shop, it's safe to say that I've been on a mad dash. I found out about UCSD's design major and set my sights on it. After cramming through a bunch of classes in the past year, I finished my time at community college and was thankfully accepted to UCSD. Now I'm working on developing my skills and portfolio to fully dive into the industry.
